The decision about whether or not to have breast reconstruction after cancer is an important one and requires significant thought.  There is a lot to consider in a short time, which can be overwhelming.  To make the decision easier, consider of breast reconstruction one question at a time:

  1. Do you want breast reconstruction?

  2. If you want breast reconstruction, do you want it at the same time as your mastectomy, or at a later time?

  3. What type of reconstruction do you want?

The articles on the left, along with a consultation with Dr. Dec, will help you answer these questions.
